Entitlements you may be eligible for include:
1. Medical and Like Expenses
All medical services and treatments that are reasonable and related to the transport accident, such as doctors, medications, physiotherapy and surgery.
2. Weekly Payments
The TAC can pay 80% of your average income for a period of 18 months if you unable to return to work due to your transport accident. After this period, benefits may be paid for a further 18 months.
3. Impairment Benefit
An impairment benefit is a once-off lump sum payment. Once your condition is stable, you may be entitled to an impairment benefit if you have a whole person impairment of 11% or more.
4. Common Law Damages
If the transport accident was the fault of another party and a serious injury has been sustained, lump sum compensation can be claimed for Pain & Suffering and Economic Loss.
